How To Solve The Path Of Conviction Puzzle
In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, while exploring the deserts of Jedha, you will come across various Path location puzzles, including the Path of Persistence and the Path of Restoration, each containing a ball and chute puzzle that you need to solve. These Paths provide multiple rewards that lead to unlocking Wayfinder’s Tomb and obtaining Eno Cordova’s Lightsaber. Upon completion of the Path of Conviction, you will be awarded a new Perk slot.
Before accessing the Path of Conviction, you must first obtain the upgrade to Cal’s Ascension Cable, which can be obtained during your second visit to the Shattered Moon location. Once you have acquired this upgrade, you will be ready to face the Path of Conviction.
To reach the Path of Conviction, head to your left from the Arid Flats meditation point, following along the cliff edge, aiming for the giant nautolan Jedi statue in the distance. Look for several floating balloons that lead up to the familiar ‘Path’ structure atop a rocky plateau. You will encounter two jetpack stormtroopers ahead; defeat them and consider the two paths before you.
The rightmost path leads to the Path of Conviction puzzle, which you need to solve, but first, head along the left path. After grappling and leaping from both floating balloons, you will need to battle two scout troopers, one flame trooper, and one Imperial probe droid. Defeat them, and you will see a grapple point that leads you toward the summit. Turn around and check out the dark cave on this level, where you will encounter two security droids guarding a chest. Defeat them and have BD-1 slice the chest to acquire the Wood weapon material for lightsaber customization.
Head back to the far end of this landing and grapple to the wall higher up. Leap up the wall until you reach the landing at the top, where you will encounter a rocket trooper along with four scout troopers who were just dropped off by an Imperial transport. Defeat these enemies, then examine the force echo at the top of the short flight of stairs. Now, you are ready to tackle the Path of Conviction puzzle.
To solve the Path of Conviction puzzle, number each of the chutes in the puzzle from 1-4. The goal of this puzzle is to get the ball as part of chute 2 up to the top of the plateau. Follow the steps below to accomplish this task with relative ease:
1. Pull the ball in chute 1 toward you. This will lower part of chute 2, aligning chute 2’s ball with chute 3.
2. Leap over to the platform by chute 2 and 3 and force push the ball along chute 3’s track. This will open up a platform on the right side of chute 4.
3. Return to chute 1 and force pull the ball toward you again. Grapple to the floating balloon to leap up to the platform by chute 4 and force pull chute 4’s ball toward you. This will align the vertical part of chute 2.
4. Drop down to the platform below you and force push the ball in chute 3. Grapple back over to the left side of chute 2 and 3 and force push the now fully aligned chute 2 ball up to the plateau above.
Note that steps 4-7 need to take place before chute 1 and chute 4 reset. Return to the top of the plateau via the shortcut rope, and you will find the ball waiting for you in the central channel. Simply force push the ball to the far end toward the pillars, and the puzzle will solve. An alcove will open in the ground to your right, and you will acquire one new Perk slot.
While up here, hitch a ride on the flying creature. Head almost directly out toward the opposite site, and you will be able to access a chest hidden way up high on the rocky shelf overlooking Desert Ridge. The chest will contain the Temperance Emitter, a great piece of customization to further personalize Cal’s lightsaber.
As you explore the deserts of Jedha in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you’ll come across multiple Path location puzzles — Path of Persistence and Path of Restoration — around Jedha that each contain a ball and chute puzzle for you to solve. How To Reach Path Of Conviction
From the Arid Flats meditation point, while facing Narkis Highlands, you want to head to your left, following along the cliff edge, generally aiming for the giant nautolan Jedi statue in the distance.
You’re looking for several floating balloons that lead up toward the familiar ‘Path’ structure atop a rocky plateau (as seen in the picture below).
Take The Route Along The Left Side
Surveying your surroundings, you’ll encounter two jetpack stormtroopers ahead. Defeat them, then consider the two paths before you:
- Two floating balloons leading off to the left
- A single floating balloon leading off to the right
The Rightmost path will lead you toward the Path of Conviction puzzle, which you’ll need to solve in order to complete the location, but first, head along the left path.
After you grapple and leap from both floating balloons along the left path, you’ll need to battle two scout troopers, one flame trooper, and one Imperial probe droid. Once these enemies are dispatched, you’ll see a grapple point that leads toward the summitbut first, turn around and check out the dark cave on this level. Head to the far end and slice the rope, unlocking a shortcut down to the other side of the Path, which contains the puzzle (this leads to the same area as the rightmost path from the start).
At the bottom of the shortcut, you’ll encounter Viper probe droid. Eliminate it, then use the floating balloon to traverse to the far side to get a better view of the puzzle.
How To Solve The Path Of Conviction Puzzle
From here, we’ll want to number each of the chutes in the puzzle; several events nee to occur in a short amount of time, as the puzzle resets after a brief delay. The chutes will be numbered 1-4 from this new vantage point (as seen in the image above). Chute 2 leads up to the top of the Path of Conviction; the goal of this puzzle is to get the ball as part of chute 2 up to the top of the plateau. Follow the below steps to accomplish this task with relative ease.
- Pull the ball in chute 1 toward you. This will lower part of chute 2, aligning chute 2’s ball with chute 3.
- Leap over to the platform by chute 2 and 3 and force push the ball along chute 3’s track.
- This will open up a platform on the right side of chute 4. This ball does not reset, so you can take a breather before the next steps.
- Return to chute 1 and force pull the ball toward you again.
- Grapple to the floating balloon to leap up to the platform by chute 4; force pull chute 4’s ball toward you. This will align the vertical part of chute 2.
- Drop down to the platform below you and force push the ball in chute 3.
- Grapple back over to the left side of chute 2 and 3and force push the now fully aligned chute 2 ball up to the plateau above.
- Note that if chute 4 resets before this can occur, it will interrupt the sequence by misaligning the chute 2 vertical passage. Steps 4-7 need to take place before chute 1 and chute 4 reset.
Return to the top of the plateau via the shortcut rope, and you’ll find the ball now waiting for you in the central channel. Simply force push the ball to the far end toward the pillars, and the puzzle will solve. An alcove will open in the ground to your right, and you will acquire one new Perk slot.
