Marvel Snap Update Removes Krakoa To Redesign It For A Future Return

Marvel Snap Update Removes Krakoa To Redesign It For A

The latest update for the Marvel Snap game was released today. This update brought about some significant changes to the game’s existing cards. One of the most notable changes is the removal of Krakoa, one of the game’s most infamous locations. However, this removal is only temporary as the developers at Nuverse plan to redesign the card and reintroduce it with new modifiers.

According to the official patch notes, Krakoa has been removed from the game to make it easier for players to strategize. This location has been one of the least favorite among players, as it takes over the players’ decks and plays a random card from each player’s hand. This makes it difficult for players to prepare for Krakoa strategically, as drawing cards from the deck is already based on chance. The only way players can prepare is by saving their best cards for Turn 5 to have a higher chance of Krakoa playing a higher-tier card. However, there are a few cards, like Nightcrawler, that allow you to reposition them even after playing, but this is not a common ability.

The developers have not announced a specific date for the return of Krakoa, but they have informed us in the recent patch notes that the next balance update has been pushed back from July 6 to July 11 due to holidays.

Aside from the removal of Krakoa, the update also brought about changes to several Marvel Snap cards. Below is a list of all the changes:

  • Doctor Doom
    • On Reveal: Add a 4-Power DoomBot to each other location. (Previously was a 5-Power DoomBot)
  • Red Skull
    • Power: Increased to 14 from 12
    • Ongoing: Enemy cards at this location have +2 Power. (Previously was +1 Power)
  • Nimrod
    • Power: Increased to 6 from 5.
  • Nick Fury
    • Cost: Decreased to 4 from 5.
    • Power: Decreased to 5 from 7.
  • Pig
    • Cost: Decreased to 0 from 4.

Stay tuned for more updates on Marvel Snap and its upcoming balance changes.

Marvel Snap Update Removes Krakoa To Redesign It For A

The latest balance update for Marvel Snap went live earlier today, delivering some stat changes to a bunch of existing cards and removing one of the most infamous locations from the game entirely. Krakoa will no longer appear among the locations you get in Marvel Snap matches, but it is not off the board forever.

According to the official patch notes, Krakoa is going offline for a while until the developers at Nuverse redesign the card and bring it back with some new modifiers. The card has been one of the least-favorite locations in Marvel Snap, as players believe it is quite difficult to prepare for strategically.

In case you are not familiar with it, Krakoa was a location that used to take over the players’ decks and play a random card from each player’s hand, leading up to the same location. This modifier made it so difficult for players to have a strategy for Krakoa, as drawing cards from the deck is already something based on your chance. So, players’ only preparation was to save their best cards for Turn 5 to have a higher chance of Krakoa playing a higher-tier card. Of course, there are a few cards, like Nightcrawler, that allow you to reposition them even after playing, but that’s not a common ability.

For now, there is no official date on when we can expect the reworked Krakoa to return, but the developers informed us in the recent patch notes that the next balance update has been pushed back from July 6 to July 11 due to holidays.

Aside from Krakoa’s removal, you can take a look at the full list of changes applied to Marvel Snap cards below:

  • Doctor Doom
    • On Reveal: Add a 4-Power DoomBot to each other location. (Previously was a 5-Power DoomBot)
  • Red Skull
    • Power: Increased to 14 from 12
    • Ongoing: Enemy cards at this location have +2 Power. (Previously was +1 Power)
  • Nimrod
    • Power: Increased to 6 from 5.
  • Nick Fury
    • Cost: Decreased to 4 from 5.
    • Power: Decreased to 5 from 7.
  • Pig
    • Cost: Decreased to 0 from 4.
