World of Warcraft Patch 10.1.5 Weapon Teases Potential New Area
A brand new and exciting weapon has been revealed in World of Warcraft, which may have just teased a new location that players will soon be able to visit. Not only does this weapon look impressive, but it also hints at something exciting in World of Warcraft’s future.
Recently, World of Warcraft announced the release date for Patch 10.1.5, Fractures in Time. This mid-season update brings a vast amount of content to the game, including several quality of life features, daily world content, and a time-twisting megadungeon called Dawn of the Infinite.
Within the Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon, players will face off against the Primal Incarnate Iridikron and the Infinite Dragonflight as they seek to unravel and rewrite the fabric of time. World of Warcraft players can collect Divergent weapons with old stats like Spirit and new ones like Demonbane. One such weapon is The Infinite Hand, which drops from an Infinite-corrupted version of Tyr and has a unique ability that grants a powerful buff to the wielder, but only in Titan facilities.
Players of World of Warcraft are already familiar with Uldaman, Ulduar, Uldum, and Uldir, as all of these have appeared as zones, dungeons, and raids in the game’s history. However, Uldaz has not yet appeared in the game, and has only been mentioned once before in Battle for Azeroth.
The fact that this new weapon is directly mentioned in the weapon’s effect could indicate that World of Warcraft has plans for Uldaz in the future. Although the facility’s location and purpose remains unknown, WoW could put it anywhere. That said, Benoit Blanka, a World of Warcraft developer responsible for creating this item, seemed to indicate that Uldaz was included as an Easter egg, which suggests that it may just be a nod to established lore. Either way, players are excited about it, and while the ability may not be useful in much current endgame content, it is extremely flavorful.
World of Warcraft players who are interested in collecting other awesome weapons are in luck when Patch 10.1.5 drops. After 10 years, WoW is finally letting players get Gorehowl’s high-resolution model introduced in Mists of Pandaria from Dawn of the Infinites. Through this megadungeon, as well as the reality-hopping Time Rifts, players will be able to collect cosmetics, mounts, and Dragonriding drake customizations, making July 11 the perfect time for players to see what World of Warcraft has to offer.
