Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 Becomes The Biggest Bollywood Grosser Ever, Surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan —
Gadar 2 surpasses Pathaan in Bollywood:
Gadar 2 has achieved yet another milestone for the Gadar franchise. The film has now become the highest-grossing Bollywood movie in Hindi, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan”.
Earlier this year, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan broke the record of Aamir Khan’s Dangal (2016) and also surpassed Bahubali 2’s Hindi total. Pathaan had a total collection of 374 crore nett and Bahubali 2 had 510 crore nett.
Gadar 2 surpassed Pathaan’s collection of 512 crore nett despite facing a clash and having fewer screens. Although Gadar 2 had a lower opening than Pathaan, it managed to cover the numbers during weekdays and had a stronger hold in the second, third, and fourth weeks, setting new records.
Anil Sharma’s action drama will soon lose its position as Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is set to dethrone it in the coming week, if not later. However, Gadar 2 will remain the biggest hit of the year, with higher return on investment (ROI) and more audience than both Pathaan and Jawan in Hindi.
Who knows, we might witness an even bigger hit in the next three months of 2023.

Gadar 2 has brought another glory to the Gadar franchise. The film has now become the biggest Bollywood grosser ever in Hindi, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan‘s “Pathaan”.

Gadar 2 smashed Pathaan’s 512 crore nett despite the clashe and lesser screens. The film opened lower than Pathaan, which had a record opening day and opening weekend, but covered the numbers on the weekdays and had a stronger hold in the second, third, and fourth weeks that have set new records.
